Almost seven years after he was introduced to Ariel Sharon's disengagement plan, initiated the establishment of the Sela disengagement administration to aid evacuees from Gaza and northern Samaria, and became one of the central figures behind the scenes in carrying out the plan - the head of the National Security Council at the time of the 2005 disengagement, Maj. Gen (res.) Giora Eiland, is convinced that Israel is incapable of evacuating settlements on the West Bank.

In his testimony before the state commission of inquiry on the handling of the Gush Katif evacuees, Eiland said: "On the level of the state, is the state capable, yes or no, of taking steps which are certainly politically controversial - the answer is certainly not. We are a neutralized country. What, that isn't clear?"

Very interesting. The US is powerless.

Israel is powerless.

One tail wags two dogs.

Forget about peace. Forget to wonder about one-state or two-states (or three-states: why not also a joint I/P mini state just to see if anyone wants it?), and insist, insist, insist that international law be enforced and the settlers and the wall be removed -- not in the interest of peace but -- because the law of occupation requires their removal.

Israel may not be able to do it VOLUNTARILY but should be able to do it under pressure of UNSC with USA pushing.

(I know, that requires another apparent impossibility, but maybe the USA could do for the rule of Law what it cannot do for justice).

Let me wipe the tears from my eyes from laughing so hard. Now let me get this straight.

Israel can attack Lebanon, Syria, Gaza and anyone else that doesn’t agree with their failed policies. They threaten anyone who opposes them with military action. Yet, they cannot get their illegal settlers behind the green line and into Israel and out of Palestine and settle for peace? Oh, that’s rich.

Ship those illegal settler terrorist squatters to the Negev if they want to be 'pioneers'. If they don't to go? Perfect they can stay and become citizens of Palestine subject to the laws of Palestine up to and including home disposession.

Can't get the settlers out? Please.

If........i was a Palistinian, i would pack up and leave. Move to a place where life is normal.Where my kids are safe, can get work, educated and live NORMAL LIVES.I believe 10000% there will COME NO PEACE living in Israel. Why? SIMPLE ANSWER.

If you do the math, it's easy to figure out. Two peoples, on one small patch of land, that both lay claim to. Only 1 of these peoples have the deed to the land. The Jews. No amount of rockets, suicide bombers etc etc will change this fact. Israel is the promised land, promised by the same Singularity, the only G-d that creates, everything. If it were the promised land for the Palistinians, G-d would have said so. That's why i would pack up and leave, it's enuf already, live a normal life or keep fighting against the JEWS who have prevailed over every single opponent that has ever existed. Move tomorrow! In 7 years you'll be able to thank me for this.
