On a trip to the Middle East, Joe Biden, the US vice president, has said that there must be no delay in resuming Israeli-Palestine peace talks. His comments come despite a row over Israeli plans to build 1,600 new homes on Palestinian land. Biden has criticised the timing of the building decision, which prompted the Israeli prime minister to apologise. Speaking to Al Jazeera's Abderrahim Foukara in the West Bank, Biden stressed that even in light of continued Israeli settlement building, he still believes in a two-state solution.
